Pretty In Pink Latte

Because Pretty In Pink was an awesome movie and no one talks about it anymore.

Lattes are my lazy gal way of getting in those extra nutrients. Smoothies are great and all, but when it’s cold outside, a latte just really hits the spot.

Beetroot powder is what gives this latte that beautiful pink color and amazing nutrition profile. Beets are packed with phytonutrients containing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Phytonutrients also have compounds that strengthen the immune system, enhance cardiovascular function,  amplify eye health, and detoxify the blood and liver. Beets also contain vitamin C which has many benefits but the one I focus on most is its role in stimulating collagen synthesis which keeps our skin, joints, and muscle tissue healthy. That’s the reason I extra love love love mixing beet powder with collagen powder! Vitamin C basically gives the collagen a supercharge inside the human body.

Basically, this latte is beautifying, detoxifying, and tasty af!

Good enough of an intro? Let’s just say yes and move on to the recipe…

 Pretty In Pink Latte (Serves 1 Selfish Biatch)

Ingredients:

  • 12-16 oz almond/coconut/cashew milk
  • 2 teaspoons beetroot powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener or sweetener of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon collagen powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

For an extra nutritional boost:

  • 1/2 teaspoon cordyceps mushroom powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ashwagandha powder

Directions:

Heat your milk on the stove until it starts to bubble slightly

Pour into a blender and add your remaining ingredients

Blend until you have a consistent pink, frothy drank

Pour into a pretty cup

Decorate with rose petals so you can take a pic and show your social media friends how extra you are
